Trying to figure out what I have?

by Eric
(Laredo Tx)

I am 26 years old and I slept with a girl who was on her period, by accident, and ever since then I have had discomfort in my penis. When I pee it hurts, when I ejaculate it hurts at times, and then other times I feel nothing? I dont have discharge or any trouble going. I got about the same I used to, no more or less. Sometimes after I pee I feel nothing till I am done and it begins to hurt bad for about 10 to 15 seconds. I am trying to figure out what I might possibly have?

UTI or Urethritis

Hi Eric, your symptoms of pain on passing urine would be compatible with a UTI (urinary tract infection) or Urethritis, an inflammation of the urethra or tube leading from the bladder to the end of your penis. It has various causes, usually infection related. Another less common cause in someone of your age is prostatitis where the prostate gland becomes inflamed. You need to have your urine analysed to see if there is any infection in it and your doctor will be able to help you with this. I suspect you will need a course of antibiotics if this comes back positive. If it is clear then they will need to examine you. Things you can do yourself include increasing your fluid intake and trying cranberry juice daily too. Don't have sex until you get this checked because this could be a sexually transmitted infection such as Chlamydia giving you urethritis. I suspect you will need a course of antibiotics to treat this and get you back to your full health. Your doctor should be able to help you with this and I wish you well in the future. Good luck to you!
