sores outside genitals

I am a 30 year old woman with 2 kids, non smoker, does not drink alcohol.
I have had this problem for a long time since I was a young girl.
I periodically develop sores, like pimples outside my vagina where there is hair. They some times grow big and when I feel/touch them they feel like a boil and when you squeeze them white stuff comes out and once the white stuff is finished blood comes out. These sores come and go and are very painful and itchy.
Description of Folliculitis
Your description sounds like a folliculitis, an infection of the sebaceous glands at the base of the hair follicle. They come up as little pimples as you describe and can be painful when infection is prominent. They are more common in diabetics, but can occur in anyone. They are not necessarily related to poor hygiene, but certainly excessive sweating can make the situation worse.
What Causes Folliculitis?
Folliculitis is caused by a blocked sebaceous gland with secondary infection getting in to the follicle base. The usual infections are either staphylococcus or streptococcus.
What can you do to treat folliculitis?
Treating folliculitis is usually with antibiotics and also antibacterial washes. Chlorhexidine antibacterial wash can be very useful for this. Try not to squeeze the pimples as it can make the situation worse.
