Skin Allergy

DOC. Im ken & I am 18. I suffer from skin allergy, long time back when I was a kid it was just itchy and sneezing not much of itching only just a little bit behind my leg just below my thighs and sneezing was high then I understood I am having dust allergy then it stopped for a long time like about 4 or 5 years totally free of itching and scratching but I had sneezing and running nose but now I terribly suffer from the allergy it has spread all over my body. It started 2 years back slowly it has grown very badly. I visited many doctors but they gave me alfacort, few steroids for applying on my body, steroid tablets, and allergy tablet like cirus but I get better within few days. But then once I stop the tablet I can stay better for few months but then it comes back to that old situation...now at present I have a bad itching.....rashes all over my body it started when I was sweating and could not control my itching then ended up to lots of rashes I wish I could meet you but my parents are tired of meeting doctors because they say they are wasting money. Please help me is there anyway I can get rid of this forever? pls let me know soon. Thank you

Allergy desensitization

Allergy desensitization is the only other option over the steroids and antihistamines that you have had. It can be very effective, but takes time to work (months). When the allergens or things you are allergic to are known by skin prick testing desensitization can be undertaken.

Tiny amounts of the allergen are usually injected under the skin in increasing amounts and this results in the body becoming more resistant in a similar way to a vaccination.
