Brendan and im in 7th grade and i wanted ask you some questions cause im soo short and all my friends are way taller than me and im sick of it ive always been the short one and all my friends are more built and look more mature my friend could pass as an 17 year old and i look like im 6 please help i want help

Brendan, thanks for getting in touch about your short stature. You are still very young and are likely to have a growth spurt. Sometimes your friends and others in your age will grow faster, but you may well catch up with them. As a rule of thumb, you are likely to be taller than your parents or at least in between their sizes. There can sometimes be a problem with growth hormone production that promotes your growth and if you are concerned you could see your doctor about this. There are also sometimes genetic reasons for lack of growth, but again this is unusual. Even if you remain smaller than your peer group, there are often advantages to being small in the same way as there are disadvantages to being tall! Good luck to you.
