Severe pain in left ear but no infection
My son yesterday got off school bus at 345 and was screaming and crying and rolling on ground in pain said it was his left ear on inside he did not hit it or stick anything in it he is six years old and told me it felt like a gorilla hit his ear I took him to the children’s doctor who told me he had no sign of ear infection today he is fine and it hasn't come back so what could have caused my baby so much pain and it not be nothing? He has no past medical history and not taking any drugs. I have tried giving him Ibuprofen.
Ear PainSlightly odd history, but clearly it is good that his check up was ok. I don’t know what caused your sons ear pain and it sounds as if the doctor who examined your son didn’t know either. I guess if it recurs he should be reassessed, but I wouldn’t worry too much about this. In my experience, children often complain of ailments that turn out to be nothing important.
