Hi I am a 15 year old female, I understand that its normal to have blood pressure swings, but I have them a lot, and sometimes it changes from 150/60 to 121/66 ..and they keep going up and down like 104/66 plus I have strange pains in my head not headaches but pain in the veins I feel like needled are sticking in them , and very often (and that happens very a lot ) my muscles shiver (lips ,eyes , leg...) it happen in my face more , and my chest hurts sometimes and I feel the same pain I feel in my head in my arms from the shoulder down to the fingers, and when I seem to stop seeing these episodes I have them suddenly...yes sometimes I get stressed a lot but I have them too when I am relaxed or happy or even when I am laying down plus my hormone levels are stable so its not the problem...so if plz can know these can be symptoms of what? Thank you!

Blood Pressure swings

The question I ask myself is this. Why is a 15 year old girl having her blood pressure measured? This is not something that would normally be done and hypertension in a 15 year old girl is very unusual.

I strongly suspect this is stress related and the first thing is for you to stop measuring your blood pressure and the preoccupation with it. At 15 years of age, you need to get out and enjoy yourself. I suspect if you do this then all these symptoms of yours will melt away.

The only caveat to this is a condition called phaeochromocytoma, which can run in families. It is a tumour arising from the adrenal gland and this produces excessive adrenaline. If you have a family history of this then it is worth exploring although it is very rare. Speak to your doctor about it.
