Recurrent miscarriages 4 times
by JODIE
(UK MANCHESTER)
I have been pregnant 4 times and all the 4 times I have miscarried. All I want is a baby but I fear that I will never have one and its making me ill. I am only 18 but its all I have ever wanted to have a child. Recurrent miscarriages do not run in my family. I do smoke and I do drink once a week at weekends. I did have a large ovarian cyst which I had removed by a laparotomy 5 months ago. My belly is still numb and my periods are very irregular and are not getting back to normal. I am pretty late on my period at the moment and I have taken 2 pregnancy tests the 99% accurate ones and they have both come up negative so I doubt I am pregnant. But I would really like to know why I keep miscarrying? On my last miscarriage I had a clear round ball that came out of me with a black dot in the middle what was that? And why is this happening to me? I have also just started taking pregnacare conception tablets. Please help me, please I beg you! All this is making me so ill and depressed and finding it hard to cope x
Recurrent MiscarriagesYou may be miscarrying because of your lifestyle issues. You should really consider stopping smoking and drinking if you wish to carry a pregnancy. You had a laparotomy 5 months ago and this is probably the reason why you are having irregular periods, but this is likely to settle down in the months ahead. Recurrent miscarriage is not uncommon and no cause is found in most cases. Some medical conditions increase risk, particularly a condition called antiphospholipid syndrome although this is relatively rare. With recurrent miscarriage, It is worthwhile having the miscarriage remnants looked at to see if there are any specific genetic abnormalities causing this.
