Erectile Dysfunction
Ok I'm a little embarrassed to ask this question, especially too embarrassed to ask somebody face-to-face.
When I was young, I was going to church camp every year for a few years. One time, I somehow got a BAD case of poison ivy mixed with poison oak. When I got out of camp my mom was FURIOUS with them since I could barely open my eyes with my face all swelled up. I wasn't in any pain but to say EVERYTHING on me was swelled up would be an understatement. I remember looking at my penis thinking it's the biggest I've ever seen it get, which in the back of my mind was kinda cool but also had me a bit worried.
Now that I'm 26, I'm beginning to think I may have ED already. When I have sex, I get hard but it never gets hard enough to lift itself upward. It almost feels like it gets tip heavy like blood isn't building up in the beginning of the shaft. Furthermore, I have noticed that rather then be worried I may not last long enough like some guys, I actually worry about finishing... When having sex it's like the tip of my penis goes almost numb sometimes and I loose the gratifying feeling. Usually stopping for a few minutes and trying again really helps but it’s embarrassing. I often wonder if my BAD case of poison Ivy/Oak could have damaged something or multiple things inside my penis to make me not perform like I should.
What is the possibility that it got damaged? Do you think it's fixable, maybe a supplement I could be taking that in the long-term will fix it (not just temporary drugs)?
P.S. Yes I know I need to eventually see somebody about this but any information you can give me right now would be VERY helpful. Just looking for your best guess at this point, not a diagnosis.
Answer: Erectile Dysfunction
I suspect from your comments that your impotence is most likely psychological. Certainly, I don’t think the poison ivy has anything to do with your ED physically speaking, but psychologically I do think it has exerted its effect. Don’t be embarrassed, there really is nothing to be embarrassed about. Erectile dysfunction is such a common problem and there are so many excellent treatments these days. Go to your doctor for help as soon as possible. The sooner you go, the sooner you can get this sorted out. Good luck!
