Preventing pregnancy?

Hi., I would just like to know what my chances are of getting pregnant when i'm having sex with a condom and using Triphasil birth control pills(Don't skip pills)? I'm on Triphasil for almost three months but my periods are lighter and shorter is this normal? I had protected sex two weeks before my period was due. Used a condom and the i take my pill everyday. I got my two weeks later on day 28 since my last period but it was lighter but it lasted 4 days. Can these changes be due to the birth control? I really just want to find out that I 'm not pregnant and that the fewer cramps and lighter periods are due to the birth control. Thanks

Preventing pregnancy

The chances of getting pregnant if you are using a combination of the contraceptive pill and a condom used correctly are miniscule. If you are at all concerned by this possibility then I would suggest taking a pregnancy test, but I would be extremely surprised if you have been doing things correctly.

As for the shorter and lighter periods on the oral contraceptive pill, this is quite common and nothing to be concerned about. Most women look on this as being a good side effect and sometimes the OCP or oral contraceptive pill is used for this very reason when periods have been heavy. This is a common use for the oral contraceptive pill apart from the obvious contraceptive effect. Good luck to you!
