Pregnancy or something else

I am a 39 year old female. I currently take Monofemme as a contraceptive and was prescribed Metronidazole for a week for BV (Bacterial Vaginosis). I was advised by my doctor that I would need to take extra precautions during this week of medication and the week after due to the reduction of cover with my contraceptive. During this week, I had sex with a condom which subsequently burst. Approx. 4 hours after this my period started. My period was light, which it seems to be these days and consequently had sex again 7 days after the finish of my antibiotics without a condom. I am now experiencing tender breasts, lower abdominal pain and back pain ( which I also had with the onset of the BV) and am very moody, want to cry all the time, an having trouble sleeping and consequently very tired. Mood swings and depression are also present. Could I have fallen pregnant? Could this be perimenopause onset or something else? Please help me I feel like Im going mad.

Your Question: Pregnancy or something else

Have you done a pregnancy test? Its possible that you could be pregnant and I would advise you to do a pregnancy test. If it is negative, this wouldnt exclude pregnancy, but make it less likely. If any concern, speak to your doctor about it as they can check you HCG blood level to confirm or refute whether you are pregnant.
