Painless Bumps On Labia Majora
I am a 20 year old female and I have had tiny painless bumps around the outer lips of my vagina for as long as I can remember. No fluids come out of them and they do not become red or irritated at all. They are clustered in little groups and they are the same colour as my skin, but tend to turn white when squeezed. The contents are hard. I am not sexually active and have never had unprotected sex, I thus don't think that they can be the symptom of an STD.
I have researched many STD's and the bumps do not seem to resemble any STD's. However, the closest things to them that I have encountered are things called 'sebaceous cysts.'
Apparently these cysts are normal and form under the skin? I am nervous about the bumps and am concerned about my sexual health.
Your Painless Bumps On Labia MajoraI suspect the painless bumps on your labia majora are either tiny sebaceous cysts or prominent glands. They are very unlikely to be of any significance. If they were new then you would have to consider infections, but clearly you have had these for years. I wouldn’t worry about them, but if you are still concerned why don’t you pop along to see your doctor or go to your local STD clinic so they can take a look for you.
