Indications
Benign gastric and duodenal ulcers, GORD, Acid-related dyspepsia, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, NSAID ulcer treatment and prevention

Contraindications
Caution in liver disease, breast feeding and pregnancy
Side effects
Headache, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, constipation, flatulence, abdominal pain, bronchospasm, muscle pain, joint pain, blurred vision, depression, dry mouth, urticaria, bullous eruption, erythema multiforme, angioedema, anaphylaxis, fever, photosensitivity, paraesthesia, vertigo, interstitual nephritis, alopecia, somnolence,insomnia, increased sweating, gynaecomastia, rarely impotence, taste disturbance, stomatitis, GI candadiasis, liver enzyme changes, liver dysfunction, encephalopathy in severe liver disease, blood disorders, peripheral oedema, hyponatraemia, malaise, reversible confusion, agitation and hallucinations in the severely ill.
Adult dose
Usually between 20mg and 40mg a day.
