Nizatidine Drug Information And Nizatidine side effects




Drug name

Nizatidine

Indications

Benign gastric and duodenal ulceration, GORD, NSAID associated ulceration

Other drug names

Axid

Contraindications

caution in renal failure, pregnancy and breast feeding. Also in liver impairment.

Side effects

Diarrhea/Diarrhoea, abnormal liver function tests, headache, dizziness, rash, tiredness, acute pancreatitis (rare), bradycardia (rare), AV block (rare), confusion, depression, hallucinations, blood disorders, sweating, rarely vasculitis, hyperuricaemia, exfoliative dermatitis

Adult dose

150 to 300mg a day
