My kidney pains are going into my legs
(South Africa)
I'm a 20 year old female and for the past 2 years I have had about 4 or 5 kidney infections. About 2 months ago I had a minor kidney infection and I started getting pains going from my lower back into my right legs until my knee. It went away but recently it came back when I got a kidney infection again. But this time it’s going into both legs and the pain is very sore and uncomfortable. What could be wrong with me?
Kidney pain or sciatica?
Are you sure you have a kidney infection? Whilst you can get kidney pain radiating in to the groin, pain to the knee is more characteristic of sciatica or back related pain. Sometimes when passing a kidney stone, you can experience severe pain radiating to the groin. You probably ought to have a scan done to see which problem you have really got!
