my dad has brain aneurysm, I need your help

My dad had an brain aneurysm that exploded 60 days ago , he had been in a comma for 6o days . The doctors said that his left brain was damaged . I want to know what should I do for him and what will be the consequences after he wake up . Looking forward for your answer.

Your Fathers Brain Aneurysm

Amr, I'm so sorry to hear of your fathers illness. He has been in a coma for a long time and the recovery from a stroke like this is going to be slow. The prognosis in this situation is usually quite poor, but your father is clearly strong to have survived this long. He is very lucky to have you by his side and all that you can do at this stage is to talk to him, hold his hand and comfort him.

If he regains consciousness, there is likely going to be significant neurological or nerve issues. It isn't possible to know the extent, only time will tell. He may well need to be artifically fed as his swallowing may be an issue. This would either be through nasogastric feeding (a tube through his nose into the stomach) or via a PEG tube (tube endoscopically placed in his stomach. He has probably already had this kind of feeding given the length of time he has been unconscious.

Physiotherapy will be important. Stimulating his mind with chat and challenging him too. All this will become apparent in due course. For now, keeping hope is all that you can do along with the other points mentioned above. I hope that he makes the recovery you are hoping for. Good luck!
