my big toe nail looks infected

Traumatised toe nail

My toe nail got bruised and then came off and when it did the new nail underneath it had already grown halfway and is going inwards and looks infected and looks like a yellowish bubble. Please help

Shannah, I don't think this is infected. The nail bed looks very healthy (thats the bit of nail at the base of the toe). The bit of nail that was traumatised is discoloured and can cause the nail to look abnormal and distorted. This will grow out and disappear. If the nail is digging in to the skin then a chiropodist would be able to help you with this. I dont think you need any treatment for an infection in this case.
