Multiple symptoms that need a doctors review

by Kristena
(TN)

I am 18 years old. I became sexually active at a very young age. I have been taking benedryl to stop these symptoms. I do not smoke or drink. I am having nausea, constipation, fatigue, urinating every 1 to 2 hours, cramps sometimes, nipples are very tender, headaches. I have tried vapor rub, benedryl, tylenol everything nothing has helped me at all. Every website I have gone to has not really helped me at all. I am hoping this one will and I am also a female. I have also had sneezing constantly, stuffy nose and runny nose with sinus problems. I have not been able to sleep sometimes but mainly I am having mood changes and tired all the time. My period is not regular at all. I will have it whenever. The longest I have gone without one was 8 months and it just comes and goes. I do not know why I am having these symptoms. I have gone to online pregnancy test and they do did not help either. I know you said you were not going to answer these kind of questions but I am wondering if it is just a virus or is it that. I have also had a fever for the last couple of days. I have yet gone to the doctor because I wanted to see what you said it was before I went to know if it is just a viral infection or is it pregnancy or is a bacterial infection or something. I did not want to take a chance of it being something that I can take care of my own. Thank you for your time and answering :)

Answer

Thanks for your question. Certainly nausea, sore nipples, mood changes, constipation, fatigue, frequent urination are all symptoms of pregnancy. However, a snuffly nose, headaches, sneezing are more in keeping with maybe a viral infection. Its one of the situations where its difficult to be certain without examining you and may be running a few investigations. Frequent urination and fatigue can be due to conditions such as a urine infection or new diabetes for example. I think you need to see a doctor about this to sort it out. Good luck.
