Levator Spasms

I have suffered with Levator Spasms for over 19 years. I have tried Electogalvanic Stimulation (EGS),Bio feedback,
seen two physical therapists who are experienced in pelvic floor problems,and a boat load of medication that didn't help. I sit in a tub of hot water,but that provides very little relief.I have heard that Botox helps, but some people said it made them feel worse.I sure don't want to make this problem no worse than it is.What makes my Levator Spasms worse. Sitting for a long time, coffee, stress,and sex.So far, I haven't found anything that works.I found a forum on the internet that claims that Levator Spasms are caused by Pudendal Nerve Entrapment.(PNE)This nerve runs vertically down each side of the buttocks(near the butt crack), and then branches off to the Levator Muscle, Scrotum,Penis,and Testicles.When this nerve is entrapped or inflamed, it can cause problems in the Levator Muscle(spasms),Scrotum pain,Penis pain,Testicle pain,and bladder problems.People on this forum claim PNE surgery is the only way to get any relief.There are only two teams of doctors who do this kind of operation.One team is in Houston Texas,and the other team is in Phoenix, Arizona.You can go to the TIPNA website and get their names and phone number.I don't like the idea of surgery,but I don't the idea of living the rest of my life in this condition.
