Migraine Headache Symptoms

I have had a constant head ache now for 5 full days. Paracetamol, kapake and ibuprofen have not cleared it. Mainly in my left side near my temple. I am also 3 weeks late coming on to my period. I have had no sexual intercourse for a long period of time so I am not pregnant but feel sick all the time

I suspect this is an atypical form of migraine headache symptoms, but it has clearly been going on for a long time. There are other causes for headache with nausea including conditions such as haemorrhage and tumours so it is important to get it checked. The fact that you have a headache when your period is late is quite common. It is also common with migraine too.

If the simple forms of analgesia have been infective then drugs such as Sumatriptan and Naratriptan should be considered.
