keflex help!

I’ve been taking Keflex for a few (3) days (because of a reconstructive surgery of my breasts) and I’ve had some pretty bad side effects such as hallucinations, severe dizziness, trouble breathing, chest pains and a massive sore throat. I won’t see my doctor until after the weekend. Should I stop taking these pills for now?
Keflex side effects
Keflex side effects include nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, headache, allergic reactions including rashes, pruritis (itchy skin), urticaria, fever, arthralgia (achy joints). Liver enzyme abnormalities, blood disorders, nephritis, hyperactivity, nervousness, sleep disturbances, hallucinations, confusion and dizziness. I suspect your symptoms are a combination of Keflex side effects and also your surgery.
Presumably you were put on the antibiotics as prophylaxis i.e. to stop infection occurring. I would normally stop the drug in this situation, but you will need to discuss with your surgeon as to whether you need a different antibiotic after the weekend.
