Extreme tiredness

My mother has lately been having spells of extreme tiredness and extreme lower back pain. She has also had chronic insomnia and complains about severe headaches, describing it as being like a hammer pounding from the inside out, mostly occurring on the left side of her head. She has also had blurred vision mostly in the left eye, once she couldn't even see out of it at all. She said she has severe head cramps too. Lately strange red bumps and spots come up on her skin at night and they itch. She also said that there is a recurring numbness in her left hand. When she went to the doctor the doctor couldn't figure it out. There is nobody that she or I know of in our family with symptoms like these. She has never had surgery and has never had a serious medical problem other than the common cold or the flu. She is 36 years old and is currently on 3 medications. erolin, which she is to take 1 tablet once daily, cipro denk, which she is to take 1 tablet 2 times daily before meals, and apo-prednisone, which she is to take 5 tablets 1 time daily after a meal.

Extreme Tiredness Symptoms

There are lots of reasons why your mother could be experiencing the symptoms of extreme tiredness, insomnia, headaches and numbness in her left hand along with the skin rash you mention. It could be more than one condition causing these symptoms. Conditions that could incorporate all these symptoms include Multisystem conditions such as systemic lupus erythematosis, rheumatological conditions such as polymyalgia rheumatica, nutritional deficiencies, chronic infections such as Lyme disease and many more. The only way that this can be sorted out is for your mum to see a doctor, have a thorough examination and investigations depending on what is thought likely when she is reviewed.
