Ectopic pregnancy

I am 24 yrs. old and had an ectopic pregnancy at May 09,2011 which my right fallopian tube was removed. When is the right time for me to get pregnant again and how can I avoid the risk of ectopic pregnancy again?
Can u explain to me the meaning of my biopsy result which is Right salpingectomy DILATED FALLOPIAN TUBE WITH HEMOSALPINX. Gross Description: The specimen consists of a grey brown tubular tissue measuring 5.5 x 2.0 x 1.7 cm. Sections show a dilated lumen with dark brown friable material.

Getting Pregnant After Ectopic Pregnancy

There is no evidence to suggest when you should try for another pregnancy after ectopic pregnancy. It really comes down to when you are comfortable in having sex again and when you feel ready yourself to go through the very emotional process again. Ectopic pregnancy does increase your risk of a further ectopic and also can reduce your chance of conception again, although this is not something that should put you off trying if this is something you want to do.

Your Surgical Specimen Report

You had a right salpingectomy or removal of the right fallopian tube. This was dilated or open with evidence of hydrosalpinx or blood in the tube itself. The dark, brown friable tissue is presumably the ectopic pregnancy itself, although your comment doesn’t give me that detail. This is a classical report for someone, like yourself, who has had to have lifesaving surgery for an ectopic pregnancy.
