Help! My ears are blocked, I went to the doctors yesterday, he cleaned them out as they had a lot of wax stuck in them, then he told me my hearing would be back to normal within 2 hours, but I still cant hear and its getting quite frustrating.

Sorry to hear about your ear problems. There are lots of causes of deafness other than ear wax so its possible your doctor got it wrong. Of course, ear wax can cause the ear canal to become inflamed and it is often wise to have antibiotic ear drops after you have had the ear wax removed. If the canal is inflamed, then this could reduce your hearing until it settles. Sometimes, a perforated ear drum can be a complication from having the wax removed and this could cause deafness.

If it doesnt settle in the next couple of days then go back to your doctor. It may be something very easy to sort out including maybe a bit of ear wax left!
