colon cancer symptoms or signs of bowel cancer
Colon cancer symptoms
(symptoms of colorectal colon cancer)include the following:
1) tiredness
2) going off food (anorexia)
3) anemia
4) weight loss
5) change in bowel habit e.g. diarrhea, constipation, mucus, wind, bloating.
6) blood in the stool or ‘bleeding from the back passage’.
These can all be considered as signs of bowel cancer as well as symptoms of colorectal colon cancer. They can occur in other conditions too including inflammatory bowel disease and diverticulitis. It is very important to have these symptoms investigated further, particularly if over the age of 50 years when the risk of this form of cancer significantly increases. They should be thought of as colon cancer warning signs and will be treated as such by your doctor.
