I have had IBS most of my life and I still am ashamed. Yes I am ashamed and I am 79 years old. Yes I have been ashamed to have IBS and to talk about my IBS. Many times I play like I don't really have IBS as no one understands and I surely can't talk about this in front of anyone. And yes I did have a social life until I let IBS control my music/social life. I remember many times looking for a bathroom/ making certain a bathroom was handy if I needed it. I realize that to have this problem for so many years probably seems strange like why didn't I do something about this years ago but the old question keeps popping up- what am I supposed to do?
Somehow I keep going- not having much fun. So maybe someone will read this epistle and realize that they are not alone in this world either. With permission I shall sign off now. Thank you. Al
