Signs of Panic Attack?Hello I suffer from anxiety and been having headaches and feel like my lungs hurt. I feel dizzy when I breath and cannot breath much. I feel as if my brain is swelling up and also have a feeling that my ears are about to go pop. Im scared! Is it just anxiety making me feel tired and dizzy? Answer: Signs of Panic AttackYour description is in keeping with signs of a panic attack. Symptoms such as anxiety, dizziness, headache, the feeling of impending doom are all common to this. Fingers and lips can become numb and fingers can go in to spasm. The condition is common and in a lot of cases settles in time. During an acute attack you can try breathing in and out of a paper bag slowly which should help to settle symptoms. Sometimes psychotherapy can help and even benzodiazepines such as Diazepam in short term use can help. You might like to discuss this further with your primary physician.
