SBI online
, after all how can you trust what you see on the internet without knowing more? Perhaps this will go some way to helping alay any concerns. So, where did it all start for me? It was 1988, I was working in a laboratory and quite frankly my life was going nowhere. I knew I had to do something about it and thought to myself, I’ve got to change this. I needed a job that I would love, a job that I could wake up in the morning and feel happy to do, a job that held interest all the time and yes, I know it’s corny, one that would allow me to help others too! I always loved anything medical and thought I needed to do this for myself. However, I had no money and medicine was a 5 year course. How was I going to fund myself? Gosh, I don’t know how I did it, but I found that money! I achieved this through selling things, appealing after a grant rejection, working when I wasn’t at university etc. Yes, I did manage, but it was hard work! Maybe if I had discovered SBI online earlier it might of been easier, but I'll explain this later. In September 1988, I attended my first day at King’s College school of Medicine and Dentistry. Looking back on it, that was such an exciting, but totally scary day. How those pre-clinical years passed, it really was in the ‘blink of an eye’.
My clinical training started, my first day at King’s College Hospital in London. I donned the mandatory white coat at the time and went to my first ward, a cardiology ward of all places! The consultant met us for teaching, a very scary moment and one I will never forget. My first patient was a heart patient. I was asked to listen to their chest, I didn’t have a clue at the time what I was looking for, but I later realised they had a heart murmur and since then, well let's just say I’ve heard a lot of heart murmurs since then! I spent three happy years learning clinical medicine at King’s and hospitals affiliated, until that one amazing day which was to totally change my life. That day was the 12th July 1993, this was the day I could finally call myself a doctor!
During my medical school years, I was lucky enough to meet Janet, my soul mate and we married when I entered my clinical years and have since had two lovely children together. We married in July 1990, but it was tough at that time. My father was terminally ill with cancer. He managed to attend our wedding in Buckinghamshire (my family are from Bristol), but he was so desperately ill. I was so proud of him, he travelled so many miles to attend our wedding. Where he got that inner strength from I will never know. He died six weeks later from gastric (stomach cancer). Maybe his illness was my inspiration to do gastroenterology, I don’t know, but I knew it was what I wanted to do. Once I was 'released' from medical school, I completed my junior doctor years at hospitals in and around London. Then it was an uphill struggle, I had to gain my membership exams so that I could apply for specialist training in gastroenterology. I achieved this and was appointed to the South West Thames gastroenterology training program and subsequently the South East too. My training took me through many excellent hospitals in and around London including the world famous institutions, St Thomas’s and Guy’s Hospital’s. During this time I learnt so much, I will always be eternally grateful to all those who have taught me. Since then I have been a consultant and have never looked back. That's enough about me, so why create an ibs website and why did I choose SBI Online? I quickly realised when I became a consultant, that ibs patients need a reliable resource from which they can draw. I don’t think it is catered for very well. The diagnosis is made and really that’s it, off you go! But, that’s not the end of it is it? The condition is still there and sufferers still have to cope with it. It’s a chronic illness and help is definitely needed. Doctors don’t have the time to do that in clinic and most hospitals don’t have the resources to help either. I also felt there was a need for people to gain medical information over the internet that was useful and personal to them (and the virtual doctor was created!). I thought long and hard about this. What was the best way of conveying help to the majority from a single resource? It was a ‘light bulb moment’, I thought to myself that I needed to create a web site. Not any old web site, but a quality website. A website that could provide a complete resource for ibs sufferers and people who want medical advice, one where IBS sufferers could interact with fellow sufferers drawing on their own experiences and also gaining medical advice when necessary too. This is how I came up with the website, www.Ibs-help-online.com. How unique, a website where sufferers can ask for help from the privacy and comfort of their own home. A website that is overseen by a specialist who has trained in dealing with such problems as abdominal pain, diarrhoea (diarrhea), constipation, wind, bloating and so much more.
I had no previous experience of building a web site, so how could I achieve this? I looked at many different web site promoters with the help of various internet search engines. What I needed was a web site builder that was so easy to use, after all I didn’t have that much time on my hands! I also needed a web site that would provide me with all the right tools to do a great job. It was only then that I stumbled upon SBI online info or Site Build It, a web site company that's like no other! I listened to their promotional video, it was inspiring. Could SBI Online they really promise so much for what cost so little? I heard people talking about their own experiences of SBI and how it had changed their lives and how easy it was to use. I thought, if they could do it, so could I! I took the plunge there and then and I have never looked back. www.ibs-help-online.com is a website in the making, a web site that I am building with the help of SBI. A website that is not a chore, but a joy to do and one that I know is the right thing too! If I help one person, then it will be worth it and I hope you will feel the same way too. This is no ordinary site though, it is your site and one that I would like to build with your help too. To make this grow into one of the best medical websites for all to share needs your special experiences to achieve through your participation in the special forums. It’s anonymous unless you wish to divulge your name, so you can be totally confident. Submit on the forums and help yourself and fellow sufferers too! It really is that simple! This is my aim and can only be to your advantage too? So,this is the special promotional video I listened to which tells you everything you need to know about SBI online. It's a powerful video, one that may open up so many new avenues for you too. And the beauty of this is that SBI will offer you a money back guarantee, so there's nothing to lose! The power to create a new website, a communication tool, a new business or perhaps a hobby for too! Maybe like me you will feel inspired by this too, but if not then at least you now know more about me and my story and a bit about SBI online too!
